I first met PH in New York at a meeting of RMS Titanic Inc. I was fascinated with his skills and experience and his enthusiasm for the Titanic. Over the years we’ve had several pleasant meetings and in recent years we’ve worked together on the SNAME Marine Forensics Committee, studying marine disasters and trying to determine ways to improve safety. PH was also a great person to be around and I enjoyed his company very much. I am sad for his loss and send my condolences to his family and many friends.
